WeLLDesign phase-out products
As an innovation and industrial design agency, WeLLDesign has a unique specialisation in developing products for the construction sector. Products connected to buildings right through to building systems, of which MorgenWonen for VolkerWessels is a leading example. We refer to this type of product as interior fit-out products: products that make a house a home.
The ABB HAF meter cupboard designed by WeLLDesign has been installed in many homes in the last 20 years.
Inventum boiler and tap
The kitchen boiler ERD 10 was also developed 20 years ago for Inventum. The unique aspect of the ERD 10 is that it is constructed of 2 identical halves that allow the costs of moulds to be reduced. Inventum developed. This water heater with integrated boiling water tap. A water heater that delivers boiling water in an instant. An ideal solution for a quick pot of tea or saving time when cooking. WeLLDesign took care of the development of this concept. The uniqueness lies in two identical halves, which saved on mould investment costs.
The Hotspot – Titanium is a matching tap that can handle the boiling water. A successful design for Inventum. Read more about this at the individual page.
For J.E. Stork-Air (known as Zehndesince 2015) we converted many metal products into better and cheaper plastic products. An example is the CML mechanical ventilation system that was subsequently copied creatively by all other suppliers.
Bouwfond: 1930s staircase
For Bouwfonds we designed a staircase for 1930s houses. Bouwfonds asked WeLL Design to create a staircase that better suits contemporary interior styles and can be used widely in Bouwfonds' homes. In collaboration with Trappenfabriek Hoograven, WeLLDesign developed a staircase that fits both a minimalist lifestyle and a newly built home in the 1930s style. Fine detailing and material accents in stainless steel give the staircase a high-quality appearance.
Honourable mentions of finishing products
With the Saxo he sliding window has been modernised to do away with draughts, getting stuck and breaking ropes. Welstand accepts Saxo for installation in historic monuments.

Ubbink Milano lean-to greenhouse
WeLLDesign first introduced Ubbink The concept of the roof conservatory. Living indoors, but with the feeling of being outdoors. Light enters and there are views from the front, top, and sides. Enjoying space, atmosphere, and freedom. With Milano, the attic is transformed into a spacious, elegant, and comfortable loft in just one day.
In collaboration with WeLLDesign realised the design and product development. Ubbink.
The Milano represents an entirely new category of roof products. The techniques and modular assembly make it a fine example of consumer oriented and industrial, flexible and demountable (IFD) construction. The Milano is available with a wide range of accessories, such as lighting and sun blinds.
It was launched at the Millionaire Fair in Amsterdam.
Ubbink Paris roof product
Martin Beijer, former Director of Ubbink, was looking for groundbreaking roof products. During a creative ‘brain drawing’ session at Ubbink, WellDesign came up with the concept of skylight Paris. The skylight is a roof product designed from the interior perspective and has a dual lighting function.
At night, a transparent disc is illuminated by LED edge lighting to create the effect of a full moon shining into the room. The Paris skylight does more than just let in light, it creates a spacious effect and provides atmospheric illumination day and night.
With its totally unique features, Paris established an entirely new category within the roof products market. Paris was launched at leading Dutch department store chain De Bijenkorf.
De Paris was introduced during De Bijenkorf's Three Crazy Days.
