The container of the Aalsmeer Flower Auction (Royal FloraHolland) was the winning idea of a pitch initiated by FloraHolland In 1980, this idea was the basic principle of the container that since has been manufactured in its millions.

An intensive developing process, involving not only the auction but also growers, resulted in an environmentally friendly and economical returnable container. The crate-like container comes in three sizes. The standard container has been introduced in countless auctions worldwide.
