On Tuesday 12 December, the residents of the first MorgenWonen home in the Spaarndam district of SpaarneBuiten received the keys to their zero-energy home.
They will receive them from Councillor Raymond van Haeften of the municipality of Haarlemmerliede en Spaarnwoude.
Construction company VolkerWessels has built this energy-efficient, gas-free home in Spaarndam Built in just 1 day. These operations mainly took place in a factory in Coevorden: the house is assembled on site, but can also be easily dismantled again. Furthermore, this makes it possible to relocate the houses without demolishing them or using new building materials for this purpose.
23 zero-on-the-meter MorgenWonen homes in SpaarneBuiten
This is the first of 23 MorgenWonen homes in the SpaarneBuiten district. For the municipality of Haarlemmerliede en Spaarnwoude, the sustainable aspects of the homes played a particularly important role. In doing so, this municipality is contributing to the achievement of important environmental targets. For instance, they feature high-performance insulated facades and triple glazing. Furthermore, the homes are fully electric: a heat pump extracts heat from the outside air for the home and hot water. The roof is covered with solar panels on the south side, allowing the home to generate its own energy. The CO2-controlled ventilation with heat recovery.
WeLLDesign has designed the concept for MorgenWonen conceived and developed in detail together with VolkerWessels. In fact, the first integral further development of the philosophy of Industrial, Flexible and Removable building from 2 decades ago. The crisis in the construction sector gave it a boost. Removability is a prerequisite for circularity. Zero-on-the-meter is now a logical additional requirement.
