Met de Building Holland Innovation Challenge 2018 willen Building Holland en Innovations From Holland innovaties met impact voor het voetlicht brengen. Innovaties die een wezenlijke bijdrage leveren aan de grote maatschappelijke vraagstukken waar de sector voor staat: CO2-reductie (energiegebruik gebouwen en gebonden energie in materialen), klimaatadaptatie, grondstoffenverbruik, gezonde binnenlucht van gebouwen, passende woonmilieus en de sterke vergrijzing van technisch personeel. Vast staat dat daarvoor betere en goedkopere bouwoplossingen bedacht moeten worden. Industrialisatie en digitalisering zijn daarbij sleutelbegrippen. Daarom daagt Building Holland en Innovations From Holland organisaties uit om hun Innovaties kenbaar te maken en aan te melden voor de Innovation Challenge. Met de uitreiking van de Innovation Award willen we betekenis belonen. Betekenis die innovaties hebben voor het direct of het indirect oplossen van die maatschappelijke vraagstukken. Het mogen bijvoorbeeld zijn: nieuwe materialen, producten, productietechnologieën, concepten, businessmodellen, software of zelfs complete proposities. De jury zal ze beoordelen op impact, schaalbaarheid, vernieuwingsgraad en klantwaarde.
