WeLLDesign is expanding!
In May, the WeLLDesign team welcomed Hendrik Pennekamp. After studying Industrial Product Design at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Hendrik gained experience primarily with large companies in various sectors. Ranging from a boiling water tap company to a dental-care start-up in Berlin. With these experiences, Hendrik will undoubtedly make a valuable contribution!
What attracts him to WeLLDesign is that he can go through the entire product development process here, from beginning to end, in all its facets. From thinking about how a product will be used, then converting an initial idea into a product that works well technically and is logically structured.
What is also nice is that WeLLDesign develops very diverse products. This enables them to build up broad expertise.
Working in a team with short lines means that he also gets a lot out of the other projects: you can look over your colleagues' shoulders, ask questions, and contribute ideas.
Hendrik: “I am really looking forward to starting as an Industrial Product Designer at WeLLDesign and hope to make a valuable contribution to current and future projects with the knowledge I have gained.”
Joshua Hendrikse joined WeLLDesign in June. Joshua is an athlete, gamer and hobby photographer, but above all, a designer. It is precisely the creative aspects that appeal to him in his work, particularly conceptualisation and prototyping.
Joshua studied Engineering at Windesheim Flevoland, specialising in Industrial Product Design. Freshly graduated, he gave himself a gap year: small commissions and self-managed design work: a board game, his own portfolio, and graphic design for logos.
And now, still relatively fresh from his training, he's working at WeLLDesign. He finds the super-smooth working atmosphere with plenty of independence very appealing. He hopes to learn a lot and is now looking back on the first two weeks, which have already taught him a great deal: “exactly the type of work I was looking for, and I've already learned a lot. I've also mastered new functions of SolidWorks.” A promising new colleague!
