Dear innovators, innovative SME entrepreneurs, freelancers and start-ups. Do you have an innovative idea on the shelf and would you like to have its feasibility investigated? WeLLDesign is happy to investigate whether your innovation is technically feasible and whether there is sufficient market demand. You can receive a grant for this effort. The MIT Feasibility Grant 2020. WeLLDesign can help you, together with our or your grant consultant (on the basis of no win, no fee), help to formulate and guide the application.

In June, it will be announced whether the application has been granted.

The MIT feasibility grant amounts to a maximum of €20,000, based on 40% of the eligible costs. The ‘optimal’ eligible project costs therefore amount to €50,000.

  • Eligible costs are: personnel costs, equipment, materials, patent research.
  • Subsidiable activities include market research, patent research, literature study, inventory of available technology, inventory of potential partners, drafting specifications, and building a basic prototype.

Examples for MIT feasibility grant

Therefore, the efforts of WeLLDesign for feasibility study activities are eligible for a subsidy. A few examples.

  • When you invest €30,000 out-of-pocket in a project yourself, WeLLDesign can be deployed with full subsidies worth €20,000 for industrial design work.
  • If you invest €30,000 of your own hours, approx. 5 person-months of work, the deployment of WeLLDesign for industrial design work / activities is covered up to a maximum of €20,000. All external costs are then covered by the grant.
  • Or if you carry out work with WeLLDesign to the value of €50,000, you will receive a €20,000 subsidy back. Your out-of-pocket costs are therefore limited to €30,000.
