As of November 1st WeLLDesign is located at the Energy Solution Incubator (ESI). Moved from Atoomweg 50 to Atoom 7 (3542 AA Utrecht). Not a big change at first sight, but looks can be deceiving.
The Energy Solution Incubator is located in the power plant Lage Weide. A part of the industrial heritage Centrale Lage Weide is being transformed in a hotspot of innovative companies with a focus on energy transition, building and transport. WeLLDesign fits in perfectly with its focus on sustainable design in – among others – building.
WeLLDesign has access at this authentic location to a large studio, conference room, lab for fine modelling activities and a workspace for prototyping large objects and test set-ups.
The fact that we work in a former power plant is noticable by us – and other visitors – by the protocols for entering the plant and the building, the red arm supports at the stairs, large fuse boxes and heavy lifting machinery on rails. A building with character!
