Working from home is here to stay. A societal shift that calls for new, comfortable solutions. ZaaK® is designed to commute to work from home. Working in your own ZaaK, a place where you can concentrate well and work comfortably. With a panoramic view for extra inspiration.
ZaaK® is constructed from recyclable sandwich panels with a skin partly of aluminium and partly of fibreglass-reinforced thermoplastic composite. These sandwich panels combine structural integrity and thermal insulation (made from recycled PET bottles), resulting in a very simple overall construction.
By combining three closed walls with a fully glazed wall, a blend of security and openness has been created: ‘bringing the outside in’. The rising roof provides a strong spatial feeling from the inside and a playful, expressive form from the outside. The ventilation and heating system with heat recovery DCU (GIO 2019) guarantees a healthy and comfortable indoor climate.
The result is a maintenance-free and lightweight ‘product’ that can be placed on any surface up to and including waterlogged meadow. A foundation is not required.
