Compact tap system David for Heineken
Heineken wanted a draught system for small pubs because there, only bottles were served. The operational costs for the landlord had to be minimal. The company approached WeLLDesign with a request to develop a beer tap system that requires no maintenance, is easy to install, and has a low cost price. This resulted in the David beer tap.
This challenged WeLLDesign to facilitate a Pressure Cooker sessionto devise the principle. The result was a schematic drawing that served as the basis for the entire design. An innovative concept was born, fully patented by Heineken. The David. A mobile beer tap that can be placed anywhere. Handy for impromptu parties and gatherings without a permanent bar.
The kegs are stored in the refrigerator under the beer tap and are equipped with a disposable beer line. This makes cleaning of the beer lines unnecessary. The draught beer system is compact, mobile, has a low cost price, and can be installed anywhere.

Tap operation
By cleverly grouping the components, the system is independent of the design. This allows the tap to be given the latest and most modern look without major engineering investments. The system remains the same. This also guarantees that the tap can be used for different brands within the Heineken brand. Brand or Amstel can give their own look to the same tap. The same system, but clearly distinguishable for both the operator and the customer.
Tap prototypes
WeLLDesign took responsibility for the Project Management, Concept Development in collaboration with Houston R&D Consultancy, Test Model, Technical Design, Styling, Engineering, Prototype, Risk Management and Production deployment. The system is a worldwide success.
