Axia: collaboration
In 1996, Biomedisch Adviesbureau BMA de overstap naar producent. Het ontwikkelde de professionele beeldschermstoel de Axia, in 1998 geïntroduceerd. Dit gebeurde in samenwerking met wetenschappers, medici en Arbo-specialisten. WeLLDesign werd ingeschakeld voor de vormgeving.
Axia: the design
Correct support of the back and arms is essential to avoid static forces being exerted during seated work. The patented mechanical movement in Axia’s VDU chairs supports and relaxes the back, neck and arms in any position, whilst the user’s feet stay in contact with the floor at all times.
WeLLDesign heeft een tijdloos en zeer herkenbare vormgeving gerealiseerd. Een tijdloos en onderscheidend uiterlijk voor BMA Ergonomics. Het design vereenvoudigd de extensieve veelzijdigheid van de stoel. Het staat voor elegant en comfmort. Daarbuiten ontwikkelde WeLLDesign ook het Axia logo, de merkidentiteit en de huisstijl. Zo succesvol in de ergonomische en design sector, dat in de eerste 6 maanden dubbel zoveel stoelen werden verkocht als voor het hele jaar werd voorspeld.
Zero Gee Lussedia
Zero Gee stands for weightlessness and exclusive relaxation. Relaxation that defies gravity, designed by WeLLDesign. Sitting, lying down, lounging… whatever your mood is.
Lussedia is a combination of the Italian words ‘lusso’ and ‘sedia’; and translates as ‘luxurious throne’. Lusso is a word also used by some select car brands to refer to a deluxe version. The Lussedia is the tailor-made seat of seats, with a subtle reference to the world of exclusive sports cars.
The Zero Gee Lussedia was launched at the Millionaire Fair in Amsterdam.
