Since its introduction In the early 1980s, the Hartman Royal Club geïntroduceerd, inmiddels een designklassieker. Meer dan 10 jaar zou dit de meest succesvolle tuinstoel op de markt zijn. WeLLDesign ontwikkelde de vormgeving en de constructie. De Royal Club was de eerste massa-geproduceerde en voor iedereen betaalbare en ook recyclebare polypropeen tuinstoel ooit.
A worldwide success
The simple but efficient folding mechanism is robust and does not lose its function. The garden chairs that are indestructible. Not only a success in the Netherlands, but worldwide.
Iconic
Although now out of production, many households still have these chairs. And if not, they are taken to a garden party. The success is not only measured by the number of years of production. The fact that people sometimes say ‘I’ll take a Hartman with me’, referring to this chair, says more than enough.
Awards en prizes
The Royal Club garden chair has won many awards and recognitions. For example, the garden chair won the ‘Plastic Garden Product’ from Deutsches Fachinstitut für Kunststoffe, a GIO Award (Good Industrial Design) as well as a Reddot design award, the Gouden Noot and the chair was selected as a finalist for the Dutch Design Awards.
