Design brief<\/h2>\n\n

Nedap provides a completely new dairy management system. This system includes neck tags worn by the cattle. The neck tags \u2013 concept development designed by WeLLDesign \u2013 transmit information, including the position of the cattle. At any time, the farmer can easily trace the position of each animal.\u00a0halslabels<\/a>\u00a0For an even more accurate display of positions, Nedap developed the Beacon. This beacon transmits neck tag signals to the farmer\u2019s PC, smartphone or laptop. Nedap asked WeLLDesign to design the Beacon.<\/p>\n

Industrieel design<\/h2>\n\n

In collaboration with the\u00a0Nedap<\/a>\u00a0Agri Team, our team developed a design that perfectly fits the other Agri products, and is therefore easily recognisable in the cow sheds. The design also meets specified cost price, investments and quality demands.\n\nThe Beacon is delivered in and designed for small batches: it is a simple open\/close mould with two mirror symmetrical housing parts. The installer can install the Beacon quickly and easily. Cables and connectors are neatly concealed.<\/p>\n\n

De Cow Positioning Beacon<\/h2>\n\n

De halslabels \u2013 vormgeving door WeLLDesign \u2013 versturen informatie, zoals de positie van de dieren naar de Cow Positioning Beacon. Met dit complete veemanagementsysteem weet de boer precies waar elk dier zich op een bepaald moment in de stal bevindt. Voor een nog nauwkeurige positieweergave ontwikkelde Nedap de Beacon. Dit baken stuurt de signalen van de halslabels door naar pc, smartphone of laptop van de boer. Zo kan de boer ook op afstand zijn dieren volgen. Nedap vroeg WeLLDesign voor het design van de Beacon.<\/p>\n\n

De installateur kan de Beacon snel en makkelijk bevestigen. Kabels en aansluitingen worden netjes weggewerkt. Dit zorgt voor een langdurig en slijtvast gebruik.<\/p>\n
